Cabin Sides and Side Decks Completely Fiberglassed and Epoxied
This morning, I cut off all of the excess fiberglass and sanded down the cabin sides and side decks with 120 grit on the orbital, as well as all of the edges as they are very sharp. Then I applied another layer of fast epoxy.
Those are some nice looking cabin panels. I can't wait to see it assembled :)
I picked up my plywood from Clark Craft a couple weeks back. I went with the Douglas fir marine ply and saved a little cash. I just need to get a fairing stick so i can start drawing out my keel. What did you use for a fairing stick for drawing? I plan on getting my fir for my keel and bow stem tomorrow. It won't be long now and i'll have my own photos to start blogging! I've been busy with my day job and my new part-time job LOL. I will have lots of time to work on my boat come the end of June as my day job ends with the school year and i have the summer off.....I can hardly wait!!
For the fairing stick, I just bought a piece of trim from Lowes that was about ten feet long, after making sure it was real straight. It was about 3/4" by 1/4" and it has worked real well. Just about anything like that will work if it bends relatively well. Let me know what your blog address is when you set it up. I will keep up with yours as well.
